Chef/owner  heong soon park

A native of South Korea, Chef Park grew up a world traveler living in places such as Malaysia and Switzerland prior to moving to the States. Park was first exposed to the restaurant business while working at his parent's restaurant in Anchorage, Alaska.

Upon moving to Seattle, Park quickly discovered the vibrance and variety of Pike Place Market. After taking ownership of the popular Bacco Cafe serving Pacific Northwest breakfast and brunch fare, he later opened Chan Seattle - a Korean gastropub serving dishes made using Western ingredients and modern cooking techniques. Chan has garnered praise from critics and diners alike while topping Seattle's lists of Best Korean and Happy Hour spots routinely.

Park has continued to build his reputation in the local culinary community while winning a Rising Star Award from StarChefs for Sustainability in the process. Meet Korean BBQ is his latest venture which connects him to his roots while allowing him to cook the food he loves best - MEAT!
